Since September when i started my degree as a medical assistant i would ask myself often why is it so important to finish my degree. It was never hard to answer that question, but at time it was hard to continue to finish a semester and keep going to the next. This was because with school work, my personal life, and work it was hard to joggle all three at once.
Yet I continued to push myself and will because it is always better to have more than one degree. I feel like I will be a better employable person with more experience in different areas. I will be more likely to get a job that I really want because i chose to educate myself in more than one area. I also know that the more marketable I am the better/ higher my pay will be and I feel like the less things I will have to juggle in the long run.

Technological Innovation in your Chosen Field
Looking at the technology in my field which is medical assisting, I feel like it is very advanced, but if I had to take a closer look at it and determine where would it be in 10 years. I would say when it comes to how patients are checked in when they arrive in the doctors office, I believe that they would start to have finger imagaing scanners to check patients in. Now when I go to my doctors office they ask for my name and an photo ID as well.
I feel like this will possible change to finger imaging because not everyone has a photo ID nor do they remember to bring it with them all the time. Them having this finger imaging would be beneficial to everyone because once a patient comes in they can just have their finger scanned and all their personal information will pop up. And no one will be able to try and use other information and it will be easier on the person looking them up to find their information. On top of that no person information need to be shared between the two unless any updates are needed.
This will also save the offices using them lost of time when it comes to the check in process. Which in return I feel like the patients will be happier with shorter waiting times. Because in most doctors office that is the number one complaint that is received from visiting patients is how long they sit in the waiting room to be seen.

Reviewing everything that I have learned this semester for Comm115, I would say has been a great experiences. I believe I was a good writer before entering this class, but i feel like i became a stronger writer leaving Comm115. That is because I learned how to research information that I am looking for better, for example more in depth and I learned how to distinguish between good and bad information posted on web sites. Which in the end will make my paper in the future more creditably and a better read. It has also shown me that even though I am a good writer the writing/research classes I may take in the future, I can and still take something form them while still being a good writer and improving my writing.

when looking at the course work that i have taken this far at Bryant and Stratton in Medical Assistant, I feel like I have a better understanding of what they go through on a daily bases. It is not easy to be on demand and doing multiple task threw out your work day to serve patients. On top of the schooling to become a medical assistant they must always learn the ins and outs of their specific work place when getting to know there patients and understand them.
I admire the dedication it takes to pull off this type of work as a professorial. If I take a job in a doctors office as a medical assistant I hope to poses these types of qualities that will ensure that I am a successful professional in the work place.

I recently had an interview with a young woman who has her degree as a Medical Assistant. I had asked her to give me her view on her degree path, why she became a MA, what she liked and didn't like about her job, and any advice she had to offer someone that is entering this field. She stated that she decided to become an MA because she had a young son she needed to provide for and she needed a degree that she would be able to use to earn money and provide for her and her son.
When it came to what she didn't like about her job, was how attached she would become to patients and once they had passed away it would make her very sad, because she would become attached to them. Yet on the other hand she loved the bonds and friendships she would develop with her patients and their families, and how appreciative they where to the services she was providing them.
Her personal advice she had given to me was that no matter what you do just make sure that you love what you are doing when you go into work. You don't want to work in any type of environment that you hate, because your patients will see that and they are depending on you to help them and want to be there to help them, and if you don't you should not be there. In a lot of cases you will become like family to these patients so love what you are doing.

Now that we are half way through this semester I believe that out of all the classes that I have and currently taking Clinical is the one that is giving me the best training for the field I am going into. I feel like it is giving be the most hands on experiences that i need. It is showing me what I will be doing in the work place on a daily basis as well as giving me the real feel of a doctors office/hospital setting.
I also, feel like it has a lot to do with my professor as well. She is a very hands on person and knows what she is teaching her students. She not only uses the material that we need to know but she uses her own professional experiences to teach us what we need to know when entering into the medical field. Even though there is a lot of work that goes alone with this class but I feel like that the struggle is worth it because I see how it will apply to the field that I and going into in the future.

When it comes to the subject of college students and technology/Internet I would have to agree with them on how they feel when they are disconnected from technology/Internet. I feel like most of the important information needed to know about whats going on in your community or the world you will find out faster from the internet, friends, and family. Rather than waiting for the news report to come on or reading a newspaper.
I agree when the students said that technology/Internet was apart of them because without my phone or some sort of way to text people or reach the web I feel lost and naked. I feel lost without my phone it feels like I am disconnected with the world.
I do believe that I am addicted to technology if I had to go more than a few hours with out using my phone or any type of technology I would probably have an panic attack. I do believe that its much more than just being connected to my friends and family. But just knowing what is going on in my community or around the world.
Lastly, I loving having my phone on me because if I ever had and had an emergency i know that I can always call for help of someone i know personally to help me because I can reach them on my phone. I also feel like lost of people feel safer when they have their phones on them at all times.
